Women’s GodStrong T-Shirt

I was inspired to create this design in the wake of the Lance Armstrong scandal. Those yellow Livestrong bracelets were the rage as they represented Lance’s great comeback from cancer. At that time, I was teaching religious education and most of the kids in the class were wearing them.

As the scandal made the headlines, I noticed everyone in my class stopped wearing them which led to a discussion about how disappointed they were in Lance. My position was not disappointment in Lance but with a culture that put someone like him on a God-like pedestal. In my opinion this was a setup for a fall, no person is perfect. I told my students to put their faith in God, not people and be GodStrong.
